TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE BOND – Resolution & I

I cannot hide away from you, I cannot shy away from you, I cannot run away from you
YOU ARE MY SHADOW…..YOU ARE MY CONSCIENCE………YOU ARE ME
You live for me, I live for you, in fact we cannot exist without one another, whether you realize it or not, whether you accept it or not, whether you like it or not!!
I know you people will feel I have taken an eternity to come out with my secret love. Most carelessly spill the beans of their affair but I have somewhat been more cautious albeit my own ignorance. The Fact is, my love took his own sweet time in waking up from his slumber to reveal his bond to me. And what he spoke thereon tore my heart open.

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!! –MY BELOVED RESOLUTION


My name is RESOLUTION. AND I’M NOT A TERRORIST!
My name is RESOLUTION. AND I’M NOT A TERRORIST!

I have spent a lifetime with you.
I have spent sleepless nights, carefully tugged by your side, simply watching you drift into the beautiful world of ‘dreams’,
I have walked through unseen, unheard unknown paths, holding your hands, just to make sure you are in close company, protected ever always.
I have wiped away your tears and filled your heart with promises of a better tomorrow.
At the end of every year, each and every year, you have come to me without fail and I have, as always, listened lovingly, without so much as a mention of myself. It's all been worthwhile, I must say and I have never complaint.

But, this year, I am here to express my grievances, and ask you to help me, help you!


Things I DO NOT like:

1) We meet, mostly, at the very beginning and very end of the year, while for the rest of the months I'm left to play alone in the in suffocating interiors of certain monstrosities; you call iPhone, blackberry and mac. I must confess today, that I am jealous! “They enjoy more attention and love, than me, even though I came in your life much before”

2) You call me names !! HMPH!!
At the start of each year, I'm wrapped in a new dress, kissed on the forehead, and christened as "Dreams to be accomplished" while at the end of each year I’m shooed away, in tatters, and agonizingly rechristened as “Failures to be forgotten”


3) I hate to see you cry- when midway through the year, you realize that you cannot achieve me. Around the same time, I am dispassionately dropped into the pits of oblivion, while you ‘move on’ to the other things in your life. I understand you might genuinely have other priorities at the juncture but I can still see dissatisfaction and melancholy piercing through those once glistening eyes.

Oh but mine is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE,I must say and I only wish you happiness, even if it is without my companionship. So, I implore you to just live for the day, for the minute thereby, entrusting our union to destiny.

Que Sera Sera!
Do not plan to confront me, until I am forced to envelope you!
Planning is venom, I must say my love - which is produced by our hearts, processed by our brains, spread by our veins and finally reinforced on paper by our fingers. Plans do nothing but leave us victimized hence, beware their play!!

And don’t plan our date my love let the universe do it for us!!!
Just Close your eyes tight, beloved, and dream, only of me and I promise to walk by your side, every single moment.

I’LL BE THERE in your gym- helping you drain out those extra calories.
I’LL BE THERE tugging at your elbow, when your fingers trail the contours of that ‘last’ cigarette in the pack.
I’LL BE THERE, hand in hand, working it out, shielding-n-wielding all obstacles,
Just hold on tight and don’t leave my sight!
